John Lennon sang it best. “Life is what happens when you’re busy making other plans.”
When Rachel Naud graduated from journalism school, she had it all planned out. Get a job at a magazine, climb the corporate ladder and become the editor-in-chief at one of Canada’s biggest magazines.
After a few years of working in both consumer and trade magazines as well as a national newswire, Rachel became a mom. And, while she still had the same career goals, with different priorities and responsibilities, she pivoted her path to success.
While being a work-at-home mom and freelancer, Rachel decided to take the leap and start her own digital magazine to fill a space that wasn’t being served by mainstream media – parents of teens. INBETWEEN was born in 2013 and Rachel hasn’t looked back, writing about everything from tech and mental health to education, fashion, beauty and everything in between.
Her work with INBETWEEN led her to the world of TV, being called upon to appear on morning shows across the country to discuss trends and topics that were relevant to INBETWEEN’s demographic.
Her approachable style, combined with her experience, makes her a favourite with producers, on-air personalities and viewers.
Her easygoing yet professional style led her take on another adventure – MIDLIFE MIX, a podcast about being in the middle of your life.
Rachel lives in Toronto with her husband, son and Old English Sheepdog, Louie.
